Christmas lights make kindness shine

“I would like to say thank you for the people who live between Nos 38 and 45 for their Xmas lights. It really brightens up the evening” This post was shared in the local Facebook group and I thought it was a wonderful demonstration of a small act of kindness that makes people feel appreciated.

Serious illness highlights kindness of neighbours.

Recently a very close friend of mine was rushed to hospital after being taken unwell very unexpectedly. This resulted in her having a serious operation, staying in hospital for a couple of weeks and with a long recovery ahead of her. Bus driver rescues letter for stranger.

“I was on a bus waiting to depart from a town centre location, chatting to the driver. An elderly lady was posting letters in a nearby letter box and unknowingly dropped one. The bus driver jumped up from his cab and ran to retrieve and return the letter to the lady, without a second thought.”
