Ducky Zebra encourages kindness in children

I bought a T-shirt from Ducky Zebra for my niece’s second birthday. I LOVE what they are doing around genderless kids clothing. Their whole business does a great job of teaching kindness to kids – kindness to self and kindness to others through acceptance. My niece was delighted with the animals on the T-shirt, and […]

Strangers help Morris Minor owner get home on Boxing Day

“On boxing day I was driving home from North Wales, in my Morris Minor, and nearly ran out of petrol (I didn’t think about fuel station closures, what a Muppet) . I pulled over to somewhere safe as the moggie is basic, with no 4 way hazard lights, and breaking down would have caused chaos.

Tweenager protects young child from gravity on ice rink.

“At a pop-up ice skating rink my 3 and 5 year old were slipping and sliding all over the place. They were like new born Bambi’s but on extra slippery, rain spattered plastic. As I desperately tried to keep my kids from gravity’s grasp, an older girl (maybe aged 11) skated over and presented them

Take/Give box appears on estate in South Wales.

“Our estate has a ‘take give box’ on it where people can put things they don’t want and anyone can help themselves. There’s even cans of food and kids clothes in it which I’m sure is making a difference to those in need in our community. It’s such a simple thing to set up but

Bus driver shows kindness to passengers struggling with luggage

“We always find ourselves well laden when travelling by public transport at Christmas. I had a large rucksack on my back and a small rucksack on my front, husband a large rucksack on his back and a big box in his arms. The first interchange was metro to train. As we came up the escalators,

Home cooks provide 100 free Christmas meals to families in need.

100 families got Christmas dinner thanks to kindness superhero, Hayley Steere from Surrey. Hayley started the Free My Meal scheme during lockdown – it works by pairing a home cook who’s happy to cook a little extra for someone in need, with that person in need. It runs year round but the Christmas drive ensured

Shop assistant prevents suicide with kindness.

Content warning – this post mentions suicidal feelings. “l threatened to end my life back in April 2023 and a 21 year old shop assistant from Barry saved me. I’d met them as a customer in the shop they worked at and they could see I was struggling. I was in the shop and they

Artist, Michael Parkes, inspires younger generation of artists.

“When I was 14, my sister and I did karate with the renown painter Michael Parkes at a dojo on the Costa del Sol. If my sister couldn’t come, he would offer to pair up with me, as being the only two girls in class, none of the boys would even talk to us. Occasionally,

Time for Kindness gives much needed boost in challenging times

“When we started 2023, there were so many challenges and the work you are doing is a massive tonic when we all needed a boost.” I was so touched to hear this and it has only reinforced why being a kindness cheerleader is so important to me. I’ll be bringing you even more uplifting and
