I carried out an act of kindness myself in Superdrug last week; the lady in front of me in the queue had had an op on her shoulder and was finding it difficult to move it.
Only after she’d paid by card did she think to ask for a paper bag to help her carry her shopping. But she didn’t have the coins she needed to buy it.
I happened to have some coins in my pocket (not so common these days) so I paid for it for her.
Only 15p to me, but a huge difference to her.
