Suzanne Morris from Rutherglen goes above & beyond to return lost purse.

“I attended my niece’s wedding in Rutherglen in Scotland. On the morning of the wedding I walked 20 minutes into town from my hotel to get my nails painted.

I walked back to the hotel and got myself ready for the wedding, met with my family in the hotel bar and when I went to buy a drink I realised that I had lost my purse.

I had about 25 minutes before we needed to leave for the wedding so I retraced my steps and popped into a couple of shops I had been into on my way back.

No luck in finding my purse.

I cancelled my bank cards but was aware of all of the other things I would need to replace- my drivers licence and store cards for a start.

The wedding was emotional but wonderful as the bride’s mother, my sister had died 2 years ago and the wedding day would have also been her and my brother in law’s wedding anniversary.

I popped back to the hotel between the day reception and the evening do. My phone started pinging. I received a Facebook request from Suzanne Morris from Rutherglen which I declined as I didn’t know her. She messaged me and asked if I had lost a purse that day as her husband had found one on the street. I drove around to her house and was reunited with my purse.

I would like to thank the kindness of strangers and the effort Suzanne put in to trace me.

My faith in human kind has been restored. Thanks Suzanne and her husband.”
