“On holiday in Northern Ireland we took our first bus, we got on and asked for 2 singles to coleraine, “that’s £3.60” I got out my card, only to be told, “we don’t take cards on buses in Northern Ireland.”
We scrambled through our pockets and gathered £3, and asked “how far can we travel on £3?”. A passenger on the bus, came up and gave us 60p so we could travel to coleraine.
For the rest of our holiday we have made sure we had the necessary cash for our journeys. As we were travelling back to our airbnb via bus today, a gentleman tried to get on and pay by card. We offered to pay his fare, and so did the rest of the bus, so his fare was paid by 4 different people!
It was great to be able to pay forward the kindness we received and he is going to pay forward when he gets cash.”
Thank to to EMma and Steve for sharing this wonderful story of not just one but so many kindnesses!
