“I was lucky enough to be on the lovely Island of Anglesey. Nice clear morning, later forecast for showers. So I decided to take my two dogs for a nice walk around Crigyll Beach, just opposite Rhosneigr.
I was almost back to the Car Park, I slipped down a Sand Dune, and broke my leg! I didn’t realise at the time what I had done, until I tried to get back up.
It took me a while to work out that I was stuck on a Sand Dune, with 2 dogs, on my own and had left my phone in my car. All I could do was wave my arms and shout for help when I saw anyone. A few people went past in the distance, but didn’t notice me. Finally, someone acknowledged me and ran over to me. Two fantastic people, Jordan and Yasmin!
They immediately called for an ambulance for me, but were told that it would be at least 3 hours before one would arrive, the rain had arrived early!
“We can’t leave you here,” Jordan said, and promptly ran back to fetch his own van.
After getting me off the Dune, putting up with my groans of agony, and getting me into the van accompanied by my two dogs, and Yasmin, they took me to the other side of the Island, where I was staying, and dropped my dogs off. Then drove me all the way to Bangor Hospital, where they got me into the Accident and Emergency unit. Then they left.
I can’t even imagine what would have happened if they ha left me on the dune for 3 or more hours, with rain and two dogs, doesn’t bear thinking about.
I’m on the road to recovery now.”
What kindness superheroes Jordan and Yasmin are! We hope they see this so they know how appreciated their acts of kindness were.
