Godney Gathering Crew help festival goers

a group of 6 people wearing high vis vests with many pieces of scaffolding to build a stage behind them. They are all smiling.

The Godney Gathering Crew were helping out at a festival that took place on 14th and 15th July and during the awful weather – the car park and festival site were very muddy.

Sue Daniells told me “The crew got hold of tractors and ensured all of the attendees that needed it got a tow out of the car park and then they also towed the traders off site.

At one point there was a chain of a telehandler towing a tractor, that was towing a telehandler, that was towing a chiller lorry. At the back was a man pushing the chiller lorry. Video was taken and it was a great light-hearted moment.

It was a wonderful event despite the weather and the crew maintained smiles and professionalism at all times. Well done them.”

So much kindness in this story from every single one of the volunteers, the attendees for finding the humour and Sue for sharing this story.
