“I’m a big High Rollers fan (a live play Dungeons & Dragons show) and their Dungeon Master (who runs the game) is gender fluid and has recently done a couple of sessions in her femme presentation, Mara, having always previously presented as masculine, Mark.
The community have been so supportive and kind, it has been so lovely to see.
The DM has commented on just how incredible the community have been too and what a difference it’s made;
‘I really appreciate folks being kind, even if Mara isn’t your thing. And just to remind folks, Mara isn’t another person or personality. Same me! Just expressed in a different way! Thank you to everyone who understands this is important to me, and I am still very self conscious about my looks, voice, etc. Kindness goes a long way!’”
This is wonderful and it sounds like it’s also testament to the community that has been built by everyone at High Rollers (you can learn more about them here), including the DM.
We very much agree with Mark/Mara, kindness goes a long way – and it’s worth celebrating!
And remind yourself that most people and kind most of the time with more stories:
