Stranger goes above & beyond for elderly group in broken down car.

A blue car broken down on the side of the road, the bonnet is popped as a person in a high vis jacket looks into it. In the foreground is a hazard triangle. Text overlaid reads “Stranger goes above & beyond for elderly group in broken down car.”

“My husband, Tom, was on his way home from the gym on Tuesday night when he came across a broken down car. Inside were 3 older ladies and a gentlemen in their late 70s and older – on holiday in North Yorkshire, from South Wales.

Tom called The RAC for them to help, brought them flasks of tea from home and stayed with them in the dark until their car was towed to a nearby garage.

And when they couldn’t be transported on to their accommodation in Harrogate, 40mins away, Tom drove them there and home again in the middle of the night too!

He got home at 1am and was still up before 6am with our two young children.

A gentleman through and through.”

It’s true what they say – not all heroes wear capes, and Tom is definitely a kindness superhero!
