The role of Time for Kindness during Mental Health Awareness Week

A teenager with long brown hair in a ponytail sits by a window holding binoculars to their face and looking out at the sea.

The aim of Time for Kindness is to encourage people to ‘see kind’. Over and over again, people are telling me that reading the stories from Time for Kindness makes them feel positive and hopeful. They see the kind things that people are doing for each other. Every single day.

It isn’t always easy to see kindness in the world. I myself find it harder on some days than others. So I hope that on the days when you’re having a bad day and need to find a bit of light in a world that feels dark or frightening, we can help.

My dream is that what we are doing here at Time for Kindness can become part of your toolbox. And on the days when it’s too difficult for you to be able to read our posts, we’ll still be here, documenting kindness. So when you’re ready, you can come back to us again and be reminded of what’s happening.
