spread kindness

The knock-on effects of your actions can spread kindness more widely as people read the positive news of what you have done.

Balance your feed by adding kindness to it!

Need reminding about the kindness and goodness that there is in the world? I share stories of kindness (nearly) every day, big and small, to show that it really is out there, it’s just sometimes we don’t see it. And if we do see it, we often forget to talk about it and tell other […]

Time for Kindess on the Talent First podcast

I’m so thrilled to have been on Michelle Edmondson’s podcast, Talent First, talking about the benefits of kindness to organisations and business leaders. It was a really uplifting and fascinating discussion that I’d love to hear your thoughts on. Search for the Talent First podcast and my name, Sarah Browning, on Spotify or go directly

It isn’t often understood that British Sign Language is a language in its own right, not just some sort of transcription – so if you speak BSL and there isn’t an interpreter, it’s like an English-speaker being shown something in Spanish. Wake up to better business with the Better Business Act

The world needs every business at its best, creating good jobs, helping to fix pressing problems and adding value to society. Kind neighbour rescues parcel from April showers!

“My neighbour just knocked at my door because she had seen a parcel out on my doorstep and it had just started to pour with rain! When she saw that I was at home (and the rain had stopped!) she knocked and handed over my parcel. I didn’t know the delivery was coming today, so

Text reads, "Inclusive language during the month of Ramadan. Instead of "You poor thing, it must be so difficult for you", try this: "I have so much admiration for your commitment to your faith". Instead of "Oh, how come you're not fasting like the others?" try this, Be mindful and respectful. There are a number of reasons why someone may not be fasting, which they may not want to share. Instead of 'It's going to be difficult to accommodate time off for you", try this, "I know how important it is for you to have this time off, I will try my best to accommodate." Instead of "If you're not eating, do you want to just work through your lunch break to get this finished," try this, "I appreciate you are not eating but please ensure you take regular breaks throughout the day."

Inclusive language during Ramadan

A big thank you to Ash of Changing Minds for sharing this information about inclusive language during the month of Ramadan. Choosing to use inclusive language and consider what we’re saying is an act of kindness and Ash has lots more information on how to do that on her account so do go and follow
