These stories share acts of kindness from real people in every day life. #ProjectAmplifyKindness is about changing the balance of the narrative about the world and how people behave.

Neighbour takes care of elderly dog.

“My lovely neighbour, Sian, very kindly offers to pop in to check on my elderly dog if I am out all day. If I do ask her, invariably she goes above and beyond, going in twice – or occasionally taking him out for an extra walk if I am held up. Living alone, and having […]

Chatty stranger brings a smile.

While I was sitting on a shady bench by the river, an elderly man with a walker came along and asked if he could join me. He quickly introduced himself as Malcolm and we spent a lovely 10 minutes chatting. He told me about some of the places he and his late wife had visited

Another visitor to the city asked me to take her photo in front of Basel Cathedral. Small acts of kindness like this are powerful if we notice them. That’s why we share at least one story of kindness every single day here – to help remind you that good things are happening. Follow us on

“I run a monthly cinema trip as part of a local social group. We have a disabled attendee who needs the wheelchair seats which, in Vue, are only at the front. Several of the other attendees offered to sit in the front seats next to them so they weren’t alone and felt included.” As we

We share stories of kindness every day to remind you how much exists in the world. Pizza day in New York.

For Sara Yahia’s annual “Pizza Day” she and a small circle of friends order hundreds of slices from small pizzerias and hand them out to anyone who looks hungry, anyone working hard, anyone simply passing by. There are no flyers or announcements, just food, warmth, and human connection. In a city that rarely slows down,

Friend brings cookie back from theatre.

“My housemate went to the theatre and came back with one of the vegan cookies I always get when I go and we discovered together and became obsessed with! I came down in the morning to a tub with an ‘eat me’ label on it!” We love hearing people tell us about their kind friends

Village local helps lost man get home.

“I spotted a man in walking in the village, I was sure I recognised him. He was hesitant and looking around. I stopped car and asked if he was alright and he said “I’m looking for my wife, she’s confused but won’t have gone far.” He didn’t need any help and thanked me. I drive

Book review keeps author going.

We spotted a wonderful example of kindness on Instagram recently! Eleanor shared a review of their book and how much it meant to them – that the kindness of the review encouraged them to keep going too. Here’s what they said in their post: “So small acts of kindness feel like huge moments of encouragement.

Last money donated.

“I donated the last bit of money I had for the month to The Good Law Project.” What a truly selfless kindness from the anonymous human who shared this with us. Remember that kindness to self is important too – so let’s hear how you’ve shown yourself kindness this week! Charlie at Transgentle shows how
