Tea and iced bun for tree planter.

a path with grass and Scots pine trees in the Garden Wood section of Dunnikier Park.

“My job is to work with communities to plant trees in Fife as part of climate action. I was working early in the morning to prepare for 4 local High schools to come out and plant trees in Dunnikier Park, Fife. I was digging some holes for big trees to go in along a main road.

A lovely man must have seen me working on my own and went to buy me a cup of tea and an iced bun. He came back to ‘drop it off to the lassie that was working hard on her own.’

I was so touched by this act of kindness, especially as I had missed my breakfast. A dedication to this man for his kindness and to all the hard working people out there.”

We loved hearing this story from Rebecca – it’s such a lovely example of how a small act of kindness can make an enormous difference.
