“Looking back I learned a lot about how important kindness to me from Star Trek – I was a TNG girl and Troi was a real role model for me. She always sought to understand and to reach for compassion before judgement – a message that I think spans the whole franchise.
So as I take a moment to wish you a happy Star Trek day, I’d also love to let you know about the Human Library Organization which takes the same approach through it’s work – allowing people to engage with others who they may have only heard about from headlines.
