Being sporting is kind

A pack of cyclists coming towards the camera, only the bikes, legs and some of the handlebars can be seen.

Would you sacrifice the chance of a big win to help someone else?

That’s what Romain Bardet did during the Liege-Bastogne-Liege cycling race this year.

After a huge crash which saw Julian Alaphilippe, another Frenchman but from a different team, hit a tree and land in a ditch, Bardet chose to go and check on Alaphilippe rather than fight for the win in a smaller field of those who weren’t caught up in the crash.

What a huge kindness and a real show of sportsmanship.
