“My 13 year old daughter arrived at Tipton tennis club for a tournament on Sunday, and realised that she had forgotten her tennis shoes.
They were hiding in the secret compartment of small tennis rucksack, and got missed in the transfer over to her big tennis bag for tournaments.
She was wearing a pair of Crocs (well the fake ones anyway!) She was going to have to go home, and concede the match, but the kind lady on reception offered her her own pair of shoes, which were the right size. So my daughter was able to play (and win) her first match, while Dad (Miles) drove half way home to meet Mum (Annie) with her proper tennis shoes, in time for her second match.
She came 3rd overall, and big thanks to the kind receptionist at Tipton Sports Centre she was able to play that first match!!”
Big thank you to Annie who sent this in thinking it was going to Sara Cox to nominate the wonderful receptionist for a Sara Award so let’s see if we can get this story to Sara Cox too!
p.s. you can send in your own stories of kindness to us right here.
