“I was traveling to Ireland for a funeral and the ferry was delayed. I heard the guy checking us in say to someone on the phone ‘she’s off to a funeral’ and ‘I’m on the fucking home screen’ 🤣.
I had no idea what was going on, then he gets off the phone and gives me tickets for priority boarding and accessibility coz of my crutches and hips.
He told me ‘this gets you right by the lifts. The stairs are steep.’
I thanked him profusely and said I can get up them alright but I’m so sore and didn’t wanna cause a fuss with booking so late, only the day before, when I knew I could push through.
He also gave us two vouchers for the wee shop to get some food and drink. It was a small local biz that stayed open late for the folks affected by the ferry delays.”
We love this positive spin on what would have been negative news – it’s great to see kindness showing itself during periods of stress.
