A Royal Mail employee’s kindness

The back of a Royal Mail van parked outside a large house.

Did you see the story about the Royal Mail driver who left a gift for Alex Chesters who waves at Royal Mail vans?

The BBC recently featured the story of Alex Chesters, a 27 year old man who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy and watches traffic from a bridge on the M6.

He loves to see the Royal Mail vans and gets especially excited if they wave or beep their horn at him.

One day, he and his dad arrived on the bridge to find a toy Royal Mail truck and a note saying “I drive for Royal Mail and see you and your lad regularly and thought he might like his own, have a nice day!”

This beautiful story made all here at Time for Kindness smile so we had to share it with you too.
