a ping pong paddle with a ping pong ball on it resting on a ping pong table. Out of focus across the net is a boy.

Sporting behaviour at 11 year old’s ping pong tournament.

“A lovely moment in 11yo’s table-tennis. He’d battled down from 10-2 down to 10-7 in the deciding set. He missed his shot and went to shake his opponent’s hand, but opponent said ‘no, that was a let’. Really sporting, and he went on to win the set 11-9. I told him I’d noticed that afterwards […]

an elderly woman walking with a stick across a zebra crossing. She has light skin tone and is wearing a wide brimmed straw hat and loose fitting clothes as if it is a warm day.

Neighbour goes above and beyond for elderly woman.

“One of my elderly Mum’s neighbours drives her to do a big shop once a fortnight, which is kind enough, but in between, if she sees Mum walking to the bus stop she’ll offer her a lift instead, and often brings over ‘spare’ odds and ends of meals or cake. And when Mum had a

A photo taken from just inside a balcony door. We see some thin, bare branches stuck inside a pot. In the crook of one of the branches, a plastic container lid. On top of the lid, a little black, white and yellow bird has a bit of peanut in its beak. In the background a few trees losing their yellow leaves.

Bird feeder for depressed friend.

“New Friend arrived at my door wearing a mask, her glasses fogged from the cold, carrying a giant armful of branches. You need birds, she told me, and proceeded to the balcony, where she planted the branches in an empty pot. She hung a makeshift bird feeder (the lid of a plastic container) off the

Free trolley at Aldi.

“A small act but I appreciate it as a person living on Social Security. Aldi’s the grocery store charges $.25 for the use of their carts.. as I was walking toward the cart row a lady came up to me & said do you need a cart? as she was rolling hers from her car.

a section of a chocolate aisle in a supermarket with chocolate eclairs on one shelf, Werther’s originals on another, and some Swizzel’s handing down beside them.

Fellow Asda shopper points out chocolate eclairs.

“I was in Asda in chocolate aisle and an old lady said ‘chocolate eclairs’ out loud to nobody in particular, so I showed her where they were. A little later on someone was looking for mint imperials and I pointed to where they were too. I don’t work there but I could spot them so

Stranger pays disabled veteran’s vet bill.

“I paid for a disabled veteran’s vet bill earlier this year when we saw him trying to figure out how to split it on multiple cards and would have needed to come back the next day after his daily debit card limit reset.” We share examples of kindness every single day to help remind you

NHS pharmacist protects chronically ill patient from flu.

“I went to a pharmacy to grab some co-codamol and happened to ask if they were also doing private flu jabs. They were so I filled out the form. The pharmacist took me in to do the jab and said they can give me an NHS one because I have long covid and have been

Holding the door for a stranger.

I was eating at a café in Richmond Park on a lovely day out with my friend. We were sitting next to the door and I noticed a man coming up to the door on crutches, so I leapt up to hold the door open for him. The small acts matter – what small act

A blue hearing loop sign on a train which reads customers with hearing aids that operate through the T system should ask staff to turn the hearing loop on. Customers should then switch their hearing aid to T (telecoil) to activate amplification through the hearing loop.

Hearing aid tips.

Sharing accessibility tips and tricks is a great act of kindness, and that’s what Phil Creighton did on LinkedIn recently. He posted about 4 hearing aid users he’d spoken to who didn’t know about telecoils and also weren’t confident using the app for their hearing aids. When I mentioned that my mum had also struggled,

An Instagram post reading “Hey everyone, So this is a bit of a shout out... For those of you who don't know the above person, this is Julia Hartley, she is the founder of Guided Outdoors Adventures. Which is a fairly new'ish company, set up by Julia to support people like me and help promote our activities, but more so to help people find activities and local guides, so they can enjoy our countryside, natural wonders and have adventures safely.. Check out @guidedoutdooradventures for a better idea of what Julia and her company is all about. Anyway, I just wanted to do a big shout out for Julia, and also let all you outdoor instructors coaches and guides know, how great she is. A few months a go, myself and Julia set up a collaboration between our companies. Since then, my customer numbers have gone up (enquiries & bookings) and lots of it has been linked back to Julia. Not only that, Julia has been extremely supportive and helpful. Always making herself available when possible to chat on the phone, WhatsApp, to go through ideas, plans etc, all with a super can do attitude. Julia, seems to work non stop, she's pro active and motivated, and does everything she can to help people enjoy the outdoors. The outdoor/adventure industry is amazing, for so many reasons. But, it's people like Julia that really makes it special. So if anyone's looking to promote there activities and services, @guidedoutdooradventures is definately one of my recommendations. Sorry Julia, I don't mean to increase your workload, but.... if anyone deserves it, you do”

Shout out for business owner going above and beyond.

Supporting others and cheering them on is a simple act of kindness we can all do, and one that one of our guest posters experienced recently. Julia from Guided Outdoor Adventures saw this amazingly kind post she was tagged in recently and made sure we knew about it too so we could share it as
