Stranger puts bike light on post for easy retrieval.

My daughter’s bike light fell off as she was riding to football training. She didn’t notice until she got there. She sent a message to my husband to tell him what had happened. When he cycled the same route a bit later on his way to pick her up, he found the light – someone […]

5 people stood outside a pub with a thatched roof the walls painted light blue. There are two men, one middle aged and one elderly, and three women, one a teenager, one elderly, and one is Sarah.

Stranger takes birthday family photo.

We went out for a pub lunch at The Waterside Woodley to celebrate my Mum’s birthday. We were trying (unsuccessfully) to take a selfie of the 5 of us and include the pub itself in the photo. A man just arriving with his son saw what we were doing and offered to take a photo

“On the way back from a spooky Halloween walk through moor valley our car broke down on the A31 eastbound. We just made it up the hill and on to the beginning of a slip road to tuck in behind a highway maintenance truck. I got my two boys ages 8 and 10 out the

“I wanted to thank the lady who was amazingly helpful and kind when I was having a little bit of a meltdown and not able to charge my electric car at yet another electric car charging point. We’ve had a wild few weeks moving between houses waiting for our house to finally go through (which

“Outside Starbucks, a worker was taking the full bag out of the bin to replace it. The bag ripped open at the bottom and everything came out. A group of teenage school girls ran over to help pick everything up.” Big thanks to Emma Cossey for sending us this wonderful story of kindness – a

Defib is much-loved by the staff at Walthamstow ambulance station and evidently, he has won the hearts of the public too.”

Save Defib shows kindness of community.

We loved seeing the outpouring of kindness for Defib the cat through the #SaveDefib campaign after it seemed the ambulance station’s resident and elderly cat would be evicted. Kindness won the day though and the new management is allowing Defib to stay in the only home he has known for 16 years with the people

Stressful morning eased by kindness of train staff.

“I had a covid and flu jab which left me a bit unwell and the brain wasn’t functioning properly when I was due to be delivering some training in Eastbourne. I duly arrived at St Leonards warrior square station, saw the Eastbourne train was on time, a train came into the station and I got

Teamwork finds airpods on a train.

I was on the train to London and became aware that a young woman next to me appeared to be looking for something. It turned out that she had lost one of her airpods. I helped her look around the floor for it, suggested she shake out her coat in case it had got caught

“My husband and I climbed Scafell Pike in the Lake District. Another person up there offered to take our photo. Then we took a photo of them too.” Thank you to Steph for sending in this lovely example of how kindness is contagious! What’s the last kindness domino effect you saw? You might also like
