Why not volunteer as a trustee just like Rhian does!

Rhian, a femme presenting person with long, curly, black hair, holding a mug in one hand and looking at the camera. Underneath text reads "Trustee at Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Mind."

Rhian uses her skills and experience as an employment lawyer in her voluntary role as a trustee at Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Mind.

As well as being involved in full Board activities, she is the Chair of the People and Planning Committee.

Volunteering as a trustee is a chance to use your skills for good and to be involved in setting the strategy and direction for your organisation. It’s a great way to get experience of leadership too, as your role is high-level strategy not day-to-day delivery.

There is loads of information out there about what is involved, where to find a role etc. You could start by looking at Getting On Board.
