On the train on the way back to Clapham Junction, a small group of people in their 20s were discussing video games they like to play. They started to discuss a really gory one but then one of the group noticed that there was a young child sitting with her mother right next to where they were standing – he immediately told his friends to stop talking about it because of the little girl.
I thought that was a really good example of where kindness comes from thinking about a situation from someone else’s perspective rather than your own.
