At Time for Kindness, we believe kindness is everywhere. When we take a moment to notice it, whether it’s in our families, our communities, or even in the strangers we pass in the street, we start to see just how much good is happening around us every single day.
That’s why we share real kindness stories from our community every week. These small acts of kindness matter. They remind us that kindness is alive and well. The ripple effect grows every time someone chooses to notice it.
Here are the kindness stories shared with us this week.
A steady arm when it was needed most
“My Dad was out with his friend when she suddenly felt a painful cramp in both calves. My Dad helped her to stay steady and supported her as they walked around and gently stretched them out.”
A rainy-day rescue
“My sister stopped by my house to drop off some small gifts. When she realised I was about to head out to the shops in the pouring rain, she offered me a lift without a second thought.”
Helping a stranger find their footing
“I was on a train recently when I saw a young woman helping an elderly man off the train. She lifted his suitcase onto the platform and supported him as he climbed down and found his footing on the platform.”
A small adjustment that meant a lot
“My daughter was waiting at a train station, when an older lady asked for her help to settle the strap of her bag under her coat collar. She had a walking stick and wasn’t able to reach it herself. My daughter willingly adjusted it for her.”
Share your kindness story
These real kindness stories show how powerful small moments can be. When we notice them, share them, and celebrate them, we help make kindness more visible, and that visibility inspires more people to notice it too.
If you’ve witnessed or experienced kindness recently, we’d love to hear your story. You can share it with us here: https://timeforkindness.co.uk/share-your-story/
