Shared umbrella during heavy rain in Oxford.

a rainy street in Oxford, a double decker red bus is driving past a bus stop where people on the pavement stand around, most with umbrellas up.

“I was staying in Oxford for work. I delivered a half day training so I was exhausted and just nipped to the pub a few minutes from my accommodation for a quick dinner.

I didn’t bring an umbrella or a waterproof coat. As I was leaving after a lovely dinner, it started to rain. I figured it wouldn’t be too far. Well, the skies just opened and it started to pour. And this lovely person ran after me and tucked me under her umbrella until I got back to where I was staying, which meant she probably got a bit wet but definitely saved me from being soaked through.”

A huge thank you for this story of the kindness of strangers sent in by an anonymous person. What kindness have you seen today?
