“I work at a leisure centre and we quite often host a wheelchair basket ball competition for Reading Rockets. All the players come in and out with all the equipment that is required (quite a lot!!). Lots of other people using the centre often help them in small ways such as giving way.
But in particular, this lady who runs mini athletics was on her way out with all of her equipment (a lot of heavy bags!) and she saw a player pushing some equipment along and was about to go up the ramp. She asked if he wanted help, but he said not to worry as he could see she had lots of equipment herself! However, she decided to help anyway and dropped all her bags and pushed his equipment up the ramp for him. You could see that he was very grateful and the lady herself left smiling, showing that kindness really does make a positive impact on everyone involved.”
