Parents connect at traffic lights.

Large red poppies with names written on them tied to lamp posts and traffic lights along a road beside a pub.

As I waited to cross the road at some traffic lights, a mum and baby stopped next to me. The baby was very smiley and the mum and I fell into conversation about being a mum, the good and bad bits at different ages.

It was a brief but lovely conversation, 2 people just showing interest in each other’s experiences. When the light changed to green, we wished each other well and went our separate ways.
