“Mum and Dad were on a cruise when they messaged me to say that Adele Parks MBE (famous author) was on the cruise to do a book talk. We have seen Adele at quite a few book talks over the last few years as she is one of mine and Mum’s favourite authors.
Anyway, I was jealous! I said let me know what is covered in the talk. Mum got in touch with Adele via Instagram and she asked if they could take photos to use on her socials, which they did, and have since been for a coffee and then went for more photos in the on-board library. What a cool day they’ve had!
Next thing I know, I’m getting voice messages from Adele on how to get over imposter syndrome, ideas to get my books out in the world and specific advice for how to get the most out of Amazon once they are on there.
Flipping amazing! I’m so grateful to have such brilliant parents, who are doing all they can to help me in my latest project of books for students who are feeling stuck. As well as chatting to Adele to get some tips, they’ve taken the books into the school where they invigilate exams to show the teachers.
And thank you so much again Adele, for all of that brilliant advice. How lucky am I to have personal advice from one of the best selling authors in the UK, with 24 novels published in 24 years.”
