“Someone asked in the neighbours’ WhatsApp group whether anyone had The Sunday Times newspaper from a specific date because an overseas friend of theirs had been featured in a research column and they wanted to send a copy to her.
One of the neighbours was able to help and gave her the newspaper copy.
It was a double kindness because the original neighbour gave the other one a jar of home-made jam to say thank you.”
