Mayoral kindness from Rachel Eden

Mayor Rachel Eden and Deputy Mayor, Debs Edwards wearing their Mayor's and deputy Mayor's garb. Both are smiling at the camera, Debs holds a red rose.

Do you get involved in local politics?

Mayor Rachel Eden told me “One of my duties as Mayor is to chair the full Council meetings. I try to do this with kindness, making sure that everyone has chance to share their thoughts and they are respectful in the way they share and respond.

If members of the public are involved in a meeting, I check that they understand how the meeting will work and that they are comfortable about what they need to do and when.”

Getting involved at a local level is a great kindness to yourself, your local loved ones and your community.

Do you get involved locally and do you see a lot of kindness when you do?
