Kindness happens on Facebook, and we have proof! Nikki Ochtman from RG10 Magazine got in touch to let us know that she’d seen someone post this on a local Facebook group:
“Hi all. I am trying to find a young man called Luke….
Last Friday my 85 year old mum was tootling around Sonning in her old Honda Jazz when Luke pulled her over as she had a flat tyre. He offered to change it and when that wasn’t possible, filled it up with tyre repair foam and then followed her to make sure it was OK.
They got as far as the Wee Waif before it went flat again, so they called the breakdown service. They were going to be a couple of hours, so Luke insisted mum could not sit in the dark waiting, so arranged for the car keys to be left and then gave mum a lift home to Caversham….
So I am looking for Luke to say thank you. He would not give mum his details and all she got was he lives in a semi-detached in Twyford with his girlfriend and dog…. Does anyone know Luke???”
Obviously Luke’s act of kindness is amazing and had nothing to do with Facebook, but using Facebook to find him to try to ensure he knows just how much of a difference he made is also an act of kindness.
