Humber Bridge kindness reduces spoon cost for chronically ill driver.

The Humber Bridge, a large suspension bridge, viewed from a countryside road beside one end of it. The sky above is cloudy and a few large vehicles are just visible on the bridge.

“I broke down on the Humber Bridge (UK) and had to communicate through an ME/CFS crash. Everyone including the call centre staff, highways agency, breakdown recovery, and two excellent friends made sure I was cared for and got me home safe, I don’t know what I would have done without them.

It means I’m not bedridden today having to recover and I can’t thank them enough.”

What a huge difference those acts of kindness made. A big thank you to Angyl Roper who shared this with us on Mastodon, it’s a lovely example of the enormous difference being kind has on other people – even if we might not realise it.
