Hope for Hasti.

A group of about 15 people, many in army uniforms, one front and centre is not wearing shoes. They are all walking towards the camera down a wide paved area with a short wall to the side. One of them is holding a sign which reads “marching barefoot across britain.”

Chris Brannigan has walked 1200 miles, barefoot, from Bar Harbor to Jacksonvill, and across Britain carrying 55lb to raise funds for a gene therapy for his daughter Hasti’s condition.

The kindness in this story not only comes from a father going to great lengths for his child, but from all the people who have supported him; coming out to join him on his walk, spreading the word, and who took on their own challenges to raise funds for Hope for Hasti too.

While our message here is that no kindness is too small – sometimes kindness is big acts and huge community support just like this.
