Hearing aid tips.

A blue hearing loop sign on a train which reads customers with hearing aids that operate through the T system should ask staff to turn the hearing loop on. Customers should then switch their hearing aid to T (telecoil) to activate amplification through the hearing loop.

Sharing accessibility tips and tricks is a great act of kindness, and that’s what Phil Creighton did on LinkedIn recently.

He posted about 4 hearing aid users he’d spoken to who didn’t know about telecoils and also weren’t confident using the app for their hearing aids.

When I mentioned that my mum had also struggled, he told me that the local hospital runs a drop-in clinic that might be able to help.

Let’s hear any hearing aid specific, or accessibility more broadly, tips you have in the comments!
