“I visited a farm for veggies and a local (not chain) butcher too. I chatted in the shop about making changes; shopping local, and local fresh ingredients like this, and carrying cash on us and asking etc if they’d prefer cash or card. They were very happy and took cash after saying ‘no fees that way!’. And me replying ‘exactly why we carry cash again now. Gotta do what we all can huh?’
My partner is looking ever more likely to also be neurodivergent. We spent so long deciding on which type of potato to choose. So see – we take forever to make choices. Even the mundane choice of potato… The person selling to us tried to assist with helping us with which was best tattie for what… I think it confuzzled us more haha! But looking forward to trying them… yet I’ve just realised I have already totally forgotten what we chose!
When we eventually chose between two types of tattie (potato) they also gave us three big tatties of the type we didn’t buy, for free, so we could try them. 10/10 would visit again!”
Free potatoes and a lovely moment of connection – such a great example of everyday kindness at Robertson’s Farm Shop.
