“This afternoon I was travelling back home with my two young children, after visiting my parents. Multiple bags in hand I got to the station to board the first of three trains home to discover it was delayed. This would inevitably mean that my whole journey would be affected.
Slight panic set in with my kids already totally exhausted. I’m solo parenting all weekend and was feeling a little tired to say the least after a full on day. A lady next to me on the platform overheard my discussion with a staff member (as I tried to get some advice on how to get home) and she swooped in to be reassuring, said she was familiar with my route and advised on how I could hopefully make my connection. She sat with us on on the train and went through multiple options with me.
She went out of her way to be reassuring and she was so lovely with my two boys. We did indeed make our connection! I didn’t catch her name but wanted to say a huge thanks for being so kind and reassuring and going out of her way to help and be an all round legend.”
A big thank you to the anonymous person who sent in this wonderful example of the huge impact kindness can have. We’re glad you made your connection and hope that the kind woman who helped does see this.
