“My toddler son Ollie and I decided to make the most of the elusive sunshine and head out for a dog walk and play at Churchdown Park Recreation Ground in Gloucestershire.
We were happily running about when Ollie took a tumble on the hard surface of the football/basketball pitch, landing on his forehead. Cue lots of screaming, a huge egg like swelling on his head and lots of blood.
I was trying to get back to my car, negotiating a very distraught little boy and a confused and over excited dog when a lovely dad who was in the park with his boys came and assisted. He was on hand with wet wipes to help clean up my little boy and calm him down whilst also trying to keep an eye on his children.
He was so kind and even offered a drink of his son’s drink. I was so grateful to him for his help and helping to clean up a very bloody and muddy toddler before I took him to A&E.
Thankfully, there’s no lasting injuries just a big old bump and probably a little scar! A huge thank you to a wonderful dad who helped in my hour of need!”
Thank you Hannah for sending this in to us so we can celebrate what a kindness superhero that dad is.
