Experienced Dungeons and Dragons player helps newbies.

a beige dry erase mat with squares on it on a table. In the foreground is a red d20. In the centre a horse legged, human torsoed being with a unicorn horn on its head and pink and purple hair and tail, standing beside a green lizard creature which is laying on the floor. Next to them both is a large blue wingless dragon looking monster with 10 limbs and a long tail. 8 limbs act as legs and 2 act as short arms. It is roaring and looks vicious. Next to it is a pink d20. In the background out of focus is an elf shaped mini, an orange d6, and a green snake.

“I run a Dungeons and Dragons group for my local community and the latest group is almost all complete newbies to the hobby, apart from one.

At the first session the experienced player voluntarily sidelined her own character to offer extra help to new players.

She sent her character to the tavern while the others were in combat so that she could point out where things were on their character sheets, explain how certain rules worked and what might be a good idea and not on each turn.

It was so lovely and so kind of her.”
