Cullompton is filled with kind people.

A sign reading “thank you for visiting Cullompton” with a hanging basket filled with flowers under it. The sign is beside a road which goes through green fields.

“I was walking my dog when a bramble got tangled in the lead and sliced through my finger. It started dripping with blood and with only my small ROKA bag containing poo bags and treats, I didn’t have any tissues to wrap round it.

As it happened I had just come into the car park of Tesco Cullompton from the field and saw a lady near the recycling clothes bank. I asked her if she had a tissue but a used greggs bag was all she could find 🤭 she then said that she would nip into the store toilet to get me some tissue, which was very kind of her.

As I was waiting for her to come back, another lady approached me and said that she had spotted my ROKA bag and was about to recycle one in a different colour asking me if I would like it! How amazing! I would’ve missed her if I wasn’t waiting for the other lady.

When she eventually returned, she not only had tissue paper but a packet of water wipes and a box of plasters! I felt very cared for as this lovely lady dressed my finger and offered me a spare plaster to take home, I did tell her that I had some at home but didn’t let on that I am a former paramedic 🙄 😂.

These lovely ladies were so kind and generous, they made my day!”

What a lot of kindness, Debbie, thanks for sending it in to us.

We share stories of kindness sent in by people just like Debbie (and you) every day, here are some other examples:
