Crafter completes crochet project for widower

a beautifully hand crocheted purple and orange blanket, the edging is purple with an internal orange boarder. The internal squares alternate between purple with an orange flower in them and orange with a purple flower in them.

“I saw a fb request from a local man whose wife had sadly died midway through making a crochet blanket for a new baby in the family. He was asking for someone to finish the blanket that she had started, so I offered my services and completed it for him.

He was very grateful. The day that I delivered it to him was his wife’s birthday and we both shed a tear.

He also gave me a bag of her random craft stuff and this tapestry was in it, finished but just on its own so I turned it into a cushion cover as a surprise for him.”

This is such a wonderful kind act, thank you so much Jill for sharing this with us. We see a lot of kindness in the creative community – what have you seen?
