Bus driver helps wheelchair user up a kerb.

“I’m still learning to navigate around places in my wheelchair and busses have been a struggle. Thankfully the drivers have been really kind.

They’ve been patient with me as I’ve manoeuvred into the disabled space and one went above and beyond after I got off their bus. The drop off point was on a pavement but the main pavement was up another kerb that I couldn’t get up. The driver hoiked my wheelchair, with me in it, up the kerb for me before putting the ramp away and driving off.”

It’s lovely to hear that so many bus drivers are kind – we hear a lot about kindness on public transport and it always makes us smile.
