Brenda, 92, still collecting cans for recycling to raise money for Boys Brigade

close up of several drinks cans viewed from above. Text overlaid reads "Brenda, 92, still collecting cans for recycling to raise money for Boys Brigade."

“I’m sure many of you will have seen the legend that is Brenda Percy, age 92, walking around Llantwit Major picking up litter and collecting drinks cans. She collects the cans to raise money for the Boys Brigade.

If you would like to help Brenda on her quest to collect cans please bring your cans to Conway House, next to the White Hart pub and leave them in our courtyard. Next to the green bench by the metal bin that says Brenda on it.

My little pal Ollie once asked me why the bin was called Brenda. It’s Brenda’s bin. She only collects the aluminium drinks cans, not the steel food cans. Brenda is always so happy when she sees a mountain of cans there.

Brenda is an amazing woman. We love you Brenda. Be More Brenda!”

There is so much kindness in this story from Brenda’s quest to this wonderful post that Miriam shared in the Facebook group, and all the people who have helped Brenda so far.

Be more Brenda!
