“We came out of an Andy Fairweather Low gig at Ripley blues club. It was a bit chilly but we only had to wait 10 minutes for the bus to take us back to our hotel in Harrogate. Unfortunately the bus did not arrive and 40 minutes later freezing cold in just t shirts we were stranded at what can only be described as a dark lonely bus stop in the middle of a very deserted ‘Emmerdale’ village.
The gig doors were closed and the man behind the bar at the local pub was closing up. No one to be seen or help.
Then all of a sudden a very lovely couple were getting into their car and offered us a lift back to Harrogate, even though the round trip was an hour out of their way.
We have never been so grateful to anyone for such a wonderful kind gesture.
And being of a certain age (retirement age) you would think we should know better than to go out without a coat.
Please can you say a massive thank you to this wonderful couple for their kindness.”
We’re so glad you got home safe thanks to those kind strangers, Allison & Gary, and thank you for sending this story in to us to show how much kindness is happening every single day.
