“I was in Waitrose in Wallingford carrying five items and was behind an American in a baseball cap who had already laid out his purchases on the food travellator, as Colin Murray calls it.
The man asked if I would like to go ahead of him and I said no I was fine but he insisted and so I did and he seemed very happy when I thanked him.”
