Kindness after accident at Dyfi bike park.

a bike trail at Dyfi bike park through a forest with tall trees either side of a path which has shale either side of it.

“We were at Dyfi bike park in west wales (check them out here) for my son Toby’s 16th birthday. He also had an unplanned helicopter ride courtesy of Welsh air ambulance following a significant crash.

I would like to thank the 2 lads who stopped to help and provide first aid to my son before the amazing dyfi medic got there.

Toby is fine, no broken bones, just battered and bruised.

Regarding his birthday celebration in future, given this is the second year in a row with a birthday injury at Dyfi, last year was a fractured clavicle, he will be taking up tiddlywinks on every birthday moving forward!

Thanks to the fellow mountain bikers who stopped to help Dyfi medics Welsh ambulance service Mid wales air ambulance, Royal stoke hospital trauma Center, Uncle Julian for dropping everything and driving up to him, Aunty Lyn and uncle den for having Buddy at short notice (Labrador), my husband Steve for being my rock.”
