Kindness superheroes at Sainsbury’s in Cheadle.

A busy car park outside Sainsbury’s and John Lewis in Cheadle.

“The most amazingly kind couple paid for my entire shop at Sainsbury’s in Cheadle.

I had had some bad news in the 24 hours prior to going shopping. I had decided to go to the supermarket with my two young children who were very upset and tired. When I got to the checkout, my phone had gone dead so I couldn’t use contactless and I couldn’t remember my PIN number for my card (the shop was above £100).

I was clearly flustered and panicking about what I was going to do. Then this lovely man behind me in a disability scooter took out his card and popped it in the machine to pay.

I couldn’t quite understand what was going on. He and his wife told me they do it now and again to help people out and asked me to pass the kindness on which I will indeed will.

I’m still in shock and am forever grateful especially with money being so tight at the moment. They truely are amazing!”

This kind couple are kindness superheroes to us, and a big thanks to the anonymous person who told us about them – we hope Sara Cox at BBCR2 also got your message!
