At a recent in-person seminar and networking event from Charity Comms there were some great examples of kindness to self.
Sarah, our head kindness cheerleader, was at the event and noticed that the need to support your own resilience with positive things, for example noticing kindness, came up quite a lot – and that’s a message we can get behind!
The Charity Comms team put together an image with some of the wisdom shared at the event but we’d love to hear what you’d add:
- Take a short walk each day to get away from the madness.
- If you’re not being productive and it’s not 5pm – stop and start it tomorrow.
- Focus time – turn notifications off for an hour or two to do strategic thinking without interruptions.
- Openly communication respective workloads and learn how to delegate.
- Share with others. Do short things you enjoy during a break.
- Prepare for what you’ll do in a crisis / faced online hostility before it happens.
- Journaling.
- Turn your phone off in the evening.
Need some inspiration to see kindness too? We have some examples of kindness from others too:
Husband makes don’t forget list to ease first day at new job.
Seeing mutual aid brings happiness.
