We think of weddings as being full of kindness but Lisa’s friends, & some strangers, went above & beyond when her elderly dog went missing on her wedding day.
“The night before our wedding we had a BBQ for family & friends & our Jack Russell (Paddy) wandered off at about 1am. He’s almost 14 with dementia & arthritis & needs regular medication.
After looking for him we went to bed at 4am. Got up at 8am on our wedding day & had the locals, postie, family & friends all out looking for him to no avail.
My now hubby headed to the cricket club where everyone was meeting before going to the church. He told his sister we’d lost the dog & she recalled seeing a Facebook group in Worcester who search for lost dogs with their drones.
Before going to the church, he was having calls/messages between the drone group & his mate Lee who all offered to help. Lee met a volunteer drone guy at the house we’d rented & whilst we were in the church getting married, the search continued.
By some miracle the drone guy spotted a tiny heat source & guided Lee on the ground to the location. Whilst speeches were taking place, our little old boy was presented back to us. Perfect timing.
He was cold, tired & without the last 24hrs medication he takes but otherwise good.
The drone people wouldn’t accept any payment from us! If it weren’t for Warren (the drone guy) & Lee, we don’t think Paddy would have lasted much longer. Paddy absolutely stole the day & rightly so.”

This level of kindness is an everyday occurrence, check out more of the examples people have shared with us to remind yourself of that:
