Train employees go the extra mile for distressed parent.

a train waiting at Oxford station. On the platform are many people waiting to board. The sky above is blue but with lots of white clouds.

“I was travelling by train from Oxford to my dad’s memorial with my 6 month old baby Frank and I was very overwhelmed and stressed. I put my rucksack down on a platform and forgot to pick it up.

When I realised I had lost it, my body flooded with adrenaline and I got very upset.

Two extremely kind members of oxford rail station customer service Lisa and Joe came to my rescue; looked after my baby, gave me a hug, flagged down buses to help locate my lost bag.

Once they found it, they put me on the next train to London first class and asked the lady on first class to look after me.

I was so touched by their service and kindness. I needed it and they were so sensitive. Thank you Joe and Lisa. You are amazing.”

Joe and Lisa are definitely kindness superheroes! A big thank you to Hattie who allowed us to share this (although intending it for Sara Cox!)
