How Can We Help?

working

#teamkind

A collection of posts that show how we are part of a bigger #teamkind when we act with kindness. These stories tell us about the positive things that people do to be kind to others.

Help with suitcase.

On the train to Worthing, I noticed someone helping another passenger lift her suitcase off the train (it looked very heavy!) Tell us about a kind act you spotted today. On the main desk sits a pink keyboard and a huge glass mug with coffee in it and a planner open with headphones resting on it. Above the planner is a laptop resting on a metal stand allowing it to hover over the main desk.

Friend drops off laptop stand.

“A friend was getting rid of a laptop stand he didn’t need anymore and offered it to me. I said yes please and he dropped it off the next time he visited (we do not live nearby!) and it’s been super helpful. Now I can watch High Rollers while I’m working! It’s also useful for

A sign reading “thank you for visiting Cullompton” with a hanging basket filled with flowers under it. The sign is beside a road which goes through green fields.

Cullompton is filled with kind people.

“I was walking my dog when a bramble got tangled in the lead and sliced through my finger. It started dripping with blood and with only my small ROKA bag containing poo bags and treats, I didn’t have any tissues to wrap round it. As it happened I had just come into the car park

We were admiring some little birds sitting at the water’s edge by the marine lake at West Kirby. A passerby heard us talking about them and stopped to tell us that they were called turnstones. Friend lends desk adjuster

My friend has leant me a sit/stand desk adjuster that she’s not using at the moment, because I have a stiff neck. She knew I had created a make shift one with an ironing board and a laundry basket – which wasn’t the safest of methods! How have your friends shown you kindness this week?

Best friend considers sensory needs.

“My favorite act of kindness to recieve is when my best friend considers my sensory needs without having to ask for it.” This is such a lovely example of recognising kindness from those we may not notice it from because we expect it. A big thank you to the anonymous person on Mastodon who send

Mum carries jumper in bag for daughter.

I carried my daughter’s hoodie in my favourite Cath Kidston bag when we went for a day out in London – her bag wasn’t big enough and draping it round her shoulders was making her too hot! Kindness still counts even when it’s from someone we expect it from, like our loved ones. This is

“I run a monthly cinema trip as part of a local social group. We have a disabled attendee who needs the wheelchair seats which, in Vue, are only at the front. Several of the other attendees offered to sit in the front seats next to them so they weren’t alone and felt included.” As we
