National Highways traffic officers rescued a swan this week – a lovely act of kindness in the line of duty! The swan was waddling about on the M1, a busy motorway, during the mid-morning traffic. Puppy Express created by strangers gets dog to new home.

A chain of volunteers, almost entirely strangers, formed the Puppy Express to get a dog across the USA to her new home! What a magical tale for World Kindness Day: After the unexpected death of a family member which left behind a dog who needed a home, social media channel BlueSky came to the rescue!

“I’m still learning to navigate around places in my wheelchair and busses have been a struggle. Thankfully the drivers have been really kind. They’ve been patient with me as I’ve manoeuvred into the disabled space and one went above and beyond after I got off their bus. The drop off point was on a pavement
